After 14 Years, Duke Nukem Forever Will be Released

Duke Nukem Forever has a reputation as a game that was never completed. Now, after less than 14 years development, Duke Nukem Forever will be published.

It was announced Randy Pitchford, Gearbox president in his speech at the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) in 2010. As quoted from GameSpot, Saturday (09/04/2010), this game will be present for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in 2011.

“We can not possibly let the Duke’s death?” Pitchford says in front of the visitors who seemed surprised but pleased.

Pitchford was not much to explain the details of the game that has been hanging over the 14 years that his fate. PAX 2010 visitors, he said, would be given a chance to play Duke Nukem Forever
.

Duke Nukem Forever was originally developed by 3D Realms in 1997. Unresolved for years, the game was finally declared ‘dead’ by 3D Realms in 2009.

Shortly thereafter, 3D Realms, involved in legal cases with game publisher Take Two Interactive-related Duke Nukem Forever.

According to Pitchford, Gearbox took over development of Duke Nukem Forever since the end of 2009. He promised that the game will present ‘as it should be’.
