In addition to showing new capabilities such as Armor Abilities and the presence of a new enemy (skirmisheri), Halo Reach also raises some new Halo Reach Weapons that had never been presented in previous Halo game series. Here are some examples:

M45 TS Shotgun
Has a similar function with other shotgun models in the series Halo. M45 TS Shotgun is a special-purpose weapon that is used in certain situations. For example in the battle that occurred in a small room, in a situation where over-penetration is not allowed but require maximum stopping power. M45 has a more devastating attack power than the M90 Close Assault Weapon System contained in the game Halo 3. This is because a bullet fired by M45 not scattered like a regular shotgun weapon.

M392 Designated Marksman Rifle
Commonly called by its abbreviations DMR, battle rifle type weapon is very suitable for use in medium range combat or long distance. But its use requires high skills in terms of control and precision firing; mainly because of the use of expanding raticule. Despite having a lower rate of fire than the M6G Magnum but the DMR has a higher accuracy and larger magazine capacity. if used correctly, the DMR users are able to eliminate the enemy protected by a shield with ease.

MA37 Individual Combat Weapon System
This is the standard weapon used by the UNSC which was introduced for the first time in the year 2347. Bullpup rifle type weapon has a high rate of fire but has a poor accuracy, thus making it doesn’t effectively used in ranged combat. And facing opponents who use a shield, this weapon is only capable of causing a low damage. But when in use at close range, then the ICWS is a dangerous weapon. ICWS is a balanced weapon, easily used by beginners as well as deadly in the hands of a skilled player.

Type-52 Special Applications Rifle
Better known as Focus Rifle, SAR is a directed energy weapon used by the nation during the Battle of Reach Convenant. This weapon fires purple laser continuously and will finish off the target in a time of 1.5 seconds. Functions the same as the sniper rifle, but because they can not instantly kill your opponent then for effective use, the wearer must have an adequate tracking skills. Focus Rifle are believed to be battery-powered weapon, but until now UNSC can not understand how it works.

Type-31 Rifle
Same with Focus Rifle, a weapon was nicknamed Needle Rifle Convenant also used by the nations in the era of the Battle of Reach. This type of projectile weapon firing a long and very sharp and will explode a few seconds after penetrating soft tissue (eg human body). Although very similar to the Type-33 Guided Munitions Launcher weapon aka Needler, but the Needle-Rifle’s projectile is not homing aka move straightly. In addition to effectively use the medium range, this weapon is better used for long distance combat.

Type-52 Guided Munitions Launcher/Explosive
Plasma-based explosive launcher weapons type is one of the Convenant nation’s heavy weaponry. Plasma Launcher, when the weapon is usually called, capable of firing 4 projectiles that will explode (like grenades) at a target. The Projectile could be fired individually or simultaneously via the charged shot. Interestingly, the projectile will continue to track the target even if the user should have been killed so that they can do from the grave kills.
